CluckSquad Boss Guide

Wintertodt & Tempoross

The two chill skilling bosses — huge Firemaking & Fishing XP, loot crates, and zero sweat.

TL;DR — Two group skilling bosses, both nearly AFK-friendly and beginner-safe. Wintertodt (50 Firemaking) is the fastest Firemaking XP in the game and showers you with supply crates full of seeds, ores and gems. Tempoross (35 Fishing) is its fishing twin — great XP plus reward permits for fish, the fish barrel, dragon harpoon and Tome of water. Do Wintertodt early (XP scales loot by total level, but do it before high HP — see warning), and Tempoross whenever you want comfy Fishing gains.

❄️ Wintertodt

North of Great Kourend (free games necklace teleport). The clan fights an eternal blizzard-boss by feeding four braziers.

The loop
Chop bruma roots → (optionally fletch into kindling for more points) → feed the brazier. Fix braziers when they break, relight when they go out. Reach 500 points for a reward crate; more points = more crates rolls.
What you get
Supply crates scale with your levels: seeds (ranarr/snapdragon for your herb runs!), ores, gems, fish — plus the Pyromancer outfit (2.5% FM XP boost), warm gloves, Tome of fire, dragon axe, and the Phoenix pet.
  • Wear warm clothing (pyromancer pieces, clue hunter, santa — 4 pieces) to cut the cold damage.
  • Eat simple food; the damage scales with your HP level, not your gear.
  • Solid XP from 50–99 Firemaking — many players literally finish the skill here.
Ironman/HP note: Wintertodt damage scales with your Hitpoints level, and crate loot scales with your skill levels. Efficiency nerds do it at low HP early; mains shouldn't stress — just bring food and enjoy the crates.

🌊 Tempoross

The Ruins of Unkah, west of the Al Kharid desert. A spirit of the sea you "fight" by fishing.

The loop
Fish harpoonfish → cook or load them into cannons to damage Tempoross → douse fires, repair the ship, and dodge waves (tether to a mast/totem when the storm hits!). Earn reward permits based on contribution.
What you get
Spend permits at the reward pool: fish (great catering for the clan), Spirit angler outfit, fish barrel (28 extra raw fish storage — elite for fishing trips), dragon harpoon, Tome of water, Big harpoonfish and the Tiny Tempor pet.
  • Only 35 Fishing needed — one of the best early Fishing XP methods, and it stays decent deep into the 90s.
  • Tether when the wave comes — untethered = flattened + lost catch.
  • Mass worlds make it mindless; small groups give more permits per game.

Why these two are perfect clan nights

No gear checks, no prayer flicking, no deaths that cost anything — just the whole flock in one arena chatting while the XP rolls in. Great for newer members to join their first "boss", and the drops (seeds, barrels, tomes) feed straight into everything else: herb runs, fishing money, even Barrows (Tome of fire for Ahrim-style setups). Plan your Firemaking/Fishing targets with your real levels on the Skill Calculator — type your RSN and it fills them in.

Quick tips

  • Wintertodt: 500 points minimum, then keep going — every 500 isn't needed; extra points = better crate rolls per game.
  • Tempoross: cook your harpoonfish before loading for more points if you have the Cooking level.
  • Both give pet chances every game — the Phoenix and Tiny Tempor are two of the easiest "first pets" in OSRS.
  • Post crate/permit jackpots in Discord — seed nests slap. 🐔
